The goal of the second UDB workshop ‘Nomadic Canopies,’ was to explore the use of tensile fabric assemblies as spatial generators, efficient structures with minimal footprint. Over the course of the semester, the class researched various formal strategies and material properties through study models and full-scale mock ups. Each instance of the installed canopies represent the latest research trajectory and site strategy.
